My friend Senator Chris Murphy is a fighter. I am praying for a speedy recovery, for his family, and that he will be back fighting with us all soon.
All we hear from this president is: East Potomac Golf Course, the arch, the reflecting pool, the ballroom. But never the economy, health care, housing, or economic opportunity.
Americans hear this President's message loud and clear: He does not care about you.
I toured the UMES School of Pharmacy and Health Professions and saw firsthand the incredible technology students use to prepare for health care careers. It was inspiring to see how these tools help train the next generation of health professionals.
I met with Somerset County leaders to discuss local priorities and bringing federal resources to the community. I’ll continue working to help all Marylanders thrive, no matter where they live.
Financial literacy is key to building a strong financial future. That’s why I teamed up with FICO to bring a workshop on budgeting, saving, investing, and building credit to UMES to help students make informed financial decisions.
I enjoyed touring the Junior Achievement Center in Salisbury and seeing middle school students learn about financial literacy and global finance. Investing in these skills early helps prepare the next generation to make informed financial decisions and succeed.
It was informative to hear from women business owners from across the Eastern Shore. They shared their concerns from health care coverage to transportation access. I look forward to working collaboratively with many of these leaders to find innovative solutions.
In June, we celebrated a major milestone for the Port of Baltimore with the launch of double-stack rail service through the Howard Street Tunnel. This infrastructure will strengthen our economy, reduce congestion, improve supply chains, and help us reach our environmental goals.
For generations, immigrants and refugees have helped strengthen our communities. Proud to celebrate $300,000 in federal funding for Global Refuge to help newcomers build careers, find stability, and put down roots here in Maryland.
We are saddened to share the passing of Senator Alsobrooks’ beloved mother, Patricia Ann Alsobrooks.
We ask for privacy for the Senator and her family at this time.
For 33 years, Baltimore’s Civil Rights Breakfast has brought people together to honor our progress and recommit to the work that lies ahead.
This city has a deep civil rights legacy, built by people who refused to let anyone else determine what was possible.
I will be joining @cnn.com News Central today at 2 PM ET to talk about the midterms and what Americans are facing as everyday costs keep climbing. Tune in!
I want to thank Mayor Scott and his team for joining the Maryland Delegation as we discuss bringing federal resources to Baltimore. Team Maryland remains committed to supporting Baltimore and fighting to ensure Baltimore has what it needs to thrive.
RFK Jr.s leadership has been nothing but a train wreck.
Always happy to meet with Marylanders advocating with World Vision. Thank you for your work to ensure every child has access to nutritious food, clean water, health care, and a safe place to grow.
RFK Jr.’s leadership at HHS has been absolutely disastrous. Measles is surging, public health systems have been weakened, and families deserve science-based information—not conspiracy theories—when it comes to their children’s health.
Tune in to @cnn.com at 5 PM ET as I join Jake Tapper to talk about the MAHA Summit, RFK Jr., and the state of public health in America.
Congratulations to the Hyattsville/Landover Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. on the grand opening of their new home! This space represents a lasting commitment to mentorship, opportunity, and investing in the next generation of young people.
RFK Jr. has created uncertainty for families, and it's making us sicker.
Americans deserve leadership that protects public health, follows the science, and restores trust.
Tune in to @morningjoe-msnow.bsky.social tomorrow around 7:15 AM ET. I’ll be in studio talking about RFK Jr.'s failures, the affordability crisis, and what families are facing across the country.
